About Bon Fruit

For now, we are unashamedly a small business, but we are not new to this sector, in fact we have a family heritage in greengrocery that goes back over 100 years. In 2025 we reflected internally on our business integrity and future, and came to a deep commitment to make a positive and meaningful impact on our sector, society, and locality through our business activity.

Why? 

We live in times that demand an authentic and sustained approach to creating business practices and relationships that contribute to a collective vision of a future in which we all thrive. 

In an evolving business landscape that includes net zero and other globally recognised sustainability and development targets, we know your supply chain matters.

So what’s the plan?

Sustainability claims can be persuasive but fragile, easy to make and hard to verify.  To truly be effective we need to deep dive into our current operations, measure our activity with a transparent methodology and consistent approach, understand the impact of our own supply chains, and de-centre ourselves by considering the interests of all the stakeholders in, or affected by, our business processes.

What does that look like? 

Measurement before targets. We’re going to start by tracking our activity and collecting data from January 2026. You can find out more and check in on us every week on our live tracking dashboard here.

We will adopt a stakeholder governance approach to running our business, taking time to investigate, map out, and where possible consult stakeholders, including both those directly and those indirectly affected by our business activity, and use those insights strategically.

We expect this to be a journey of discovery that will help shape the ‘How’ of our commitment into a specified mission and set of actions.

Will it be a small start? Yes.
Will it be perfect? No.
Do we know where it’s going to end up? Not a clue!
